Q1) What is Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System?

A1) The Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System is a state-of-the-art air filtration system for your home.  It is an investment in clean air for you and your family.  The system allows control of the air quality inside your room, even when you are not home by using the companion mobile app, Atmosphere Connect.  The Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System effectively removes indoor air pollutants from air passing through the unit, including viruses, allergens, mold and mildew.

Q2) How does the Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System work?

A2) The Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System draws air from the room through the front cover and into its 3-in-1 filter. The 3-in-1 filter combines the Pre-filter, that removes large particles; the HEPA filter, that removes particles as small as 0.0024 microns; and the Carbon filter, that removes odors and other gases into one compact filter.  The filter removes harmful allergens, pollutants, and other containments from the air that passes through the system. The filtered air is then discharged upward through the grill on the back of the unit.

Q3) How effective is the Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System in improving air quality?

A3) Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System filter has a Single Pass Efficiency (SPE) rating of at least 99.99% for particles sized 0.0024 microns or larger on all speeds.  It effectively removes over 300 containments and 15+ gases from air passing through the unit and has a CADR (clean air delivery rate) of 130 cfm for pollen, smoke and dust,  perfect for cleaning rooms up to 200 square feet.  The CADR rating is based on independent laboratory testing using standard AHAM AC-1-2015 from the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers for Measuring Performance of Room Air Cleaners.

Q4) Has the Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System been tested by 3rd parties?  If so, which ones.

A4) Atmosphere Mini's performance has been certified by independent testing by European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) and the British Allergy Foundation.  Independent and certified laboratories were used to verify the Clean Air Delivery Rate, the HEPA single pass efficiency, the removal of household odors as well as many of the chemical reduction tests.

Q5) How does the 3-in-1 filter work?

A5)The 3-in-1 filter combines three filters into one compact unit to remove particulates, odors, and gases from air passing through the unit, including the Pre-filter, which removes large particles; the HEPA filter, which removes particles as small as 0.0024 microns; and the Carbon filter, which removes odors and other gases.

Q6) What are the modes of operation?

A6) Modes of Operation are On/Off, Fan Speed 1, 2, or 3, Auto mode and Night mode.  When continuously pressing the fan speed button, you will be able to access the 3 fan speeds and 2 modes.

Q7) How long will the 3-in-1 filter last?

A7) The 3-in-1 filter will last between 6 and 10 months, depending on air quality, fan speed and runtime per day.

Q8) Can I clean the pre-filter?

A8) Yes, you can clean the Pre-filter if large particles begin to accumulate on the front of the filter.  To clean, you can either vacuum it off or wipe/brush with a clean cloth.  Do not use water or any other liquid cleaner.

Q9) What pollutants can Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System filter with the 3-in-1 filter?

A9) The Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System has been shown to remove smoke, pollen and dust from air passing through the unit.  Testing has shown the filter to efficiently remove particles as small as 0.0024um size.  This testing was then evaluated to claim that the Mini system will remove a list of over 300 different contaminants from air passing through the unit.   The system has demonstrated to be effective at removing: Acetic Acid (Vinegar), acetaldehyde, benzene, formaldehyde, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, sulfur dioxide, toluene, TVOC and xylene.  (Note that TVOC is a mixture o the following gases:  Benzene, toluene, N-butyl acetate, ethylbenzene, p-xylene, m-xylene, styrene, o-xylene, n-undecane.

Q10) Does the Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System remove odors?

A10) Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System's 3-in-1 filter effectively reduces pet odors, cigarette smoke and cooking odors in an average-sized room in as little as 20 minutes in a controlled testing environment.

Q11)What is the difference between PM 2.5 versus .0024 microns?

A11)A micron is one-millionth of a meter. Without magnification, the trained human eye can see contaminants that are approximately 50 microns in size. The Atmosphere Mini™ Air Treatment System removes particulates as small as 0.0024 microns from air passing through the unit.   One grain of pollen is 30 microns; dust mite byproducts are 10 microns; viruses can be as small as 0.02 microns. Ambient air pollution, with high concentrations of small and fine particulate matter (pollution particles smaller than 2.5 microns) is recognized as the single greatest environmental health risk we all face. Fine PM indoors originates mostly from outdoor air and indoor combustion of solid fuels for cooking and heating. Amway scientists designed the Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System to remove more microscopic particles, because these pollutants tend to remain suspended longer in the air we breathe.

Q12)Where should I put the unit in a room?

A12)The Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System is designed for individual rooms up to 200 square feet in area.  Place the unit near an electrical outlet and away from heating and cooling vents and high traffic areas. To avoid blocking airflow, keep the space above the unit clear and do not place anything in front of or on the unit. Place the cord away from foot traffic, to avoid a trip hazard. Do not cover or hide the cord underneath carpeting, rugs or mats. The Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System provides more effective performance in rooms where the doors and windows are kept closed.

Q13)What does Better than HEPA mean?

A13)HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) is an air filtration standard.  Filters meeting the HEPA standard must satisfy certain levels of efficiency. There are two similar standards.   ASME, U.S. DOE standard requires that HEPA air filter must remove—from the air that passes through—at least 99.97% of particles whose diameter is greater than or equal to 0.3 µm.  The European standard is that the filter remove at least 99.95% of the most penetrating particle size.  The Atmosphere MiniTM Treatment System filter has been shown to meet each of these standards and even exceed the standards.

Q14)How much air does the unit clean?

A14)The Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System has been shown to deliver 130 cubic feet per minute of clean air.

Q15)What is CADR?

A15)CADR is an acronym for Clean Air Delivery Rate and is a performance rating that measures the volume of purified air an air treatment system can deliver in one minute. It is considered by many as the best method for determining a portable air treatment system’s initial room cleaning performance as it challenges the entire air treatment system with contaminants that are common to households such as, smoke, dust, and pollen. The testing is done in a real room and has been reviewed and referenced by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.   Atmosphere MiniTM Air Treatment System's CADR is no less than 130 cfm.

Q16)What speed should I run my unit at?

A16)If you set the system to AUTO mode, the system will monitor the dust level of the room air and adjust the system fan speed when appropriate.  If you prefer to manually set the speed and have it be constant, then it can be any of the 3 speeds.  Each speed will clean a different amount of air per hour and will also produce differing levels of sound.

Q17)What is Indoor Air Quality?

A17)Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality within and around buildings and structures, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of building occupants. Indoor pollution sources that release gases or particles into the air are the primary cause of indoor air quality problems.  Outdoor air pollution also adds to the indoor pollution through open windows and doors adding to the indoor air quality.

Q18)What is Outdoor Air Quality?

A18)Outdoor air is often referred to as ambient air. The common sources of outdoor air pollution are emissions caused by combustion processes from motor vehicles, solid fuel burning and industry. Other pollution sources include smoke from bushfires, windblown dust, and biogenic emissions from vegetation pollen and mold spores. The most common air pollutants of ambient air include: Particulate matter PM10 and PM2.5.

Q19)How do I register my unit?

A1)You can register your product two ways.  Download the Atmosphere Connect app.  As part of the pairing process, 1-click product registration is included.  You can also go to

to register your unit

Q20)What is the warranty for my unit?

A20)Warranty is 3 years
